I like Obama, I really do and this comic has almost nothing to do with him.

I did borrow his rolled-up sleeves and lavender tie, and took some inspiration from his histrionic gesturing, but beyond that, the comparison stops.

This comic is about image management.

the two shadows on each of the first three panels confuse me.
is it the speaker's shadows or the audience's?
