Tell me, do they make "Google Translator" English signages in Korea like in China?
They just Chinese -> English google up the characters and write in the English translation.
It leads to the most weirdest Shop/Location names which sound "Weird".
One example was... "The Champ Elysees Hectometre Plaza World"...
It was a dirty little run down pool/snooker centre. rofl.
Everyday, I see some inexplicable English phrase.
Some of my favorites include a mother and her 10-year-old son walking down the sidewalk. The mother's shirt says, "This is my girlfriend" with an arrow towards the boy. Or two fifty year old women walking and one's shirt says "She loves the cock" and an arrow pointing at the other woman. (The arrow thing is reminiscent of the "I'm with Stupid" t-shirt. I saw a 5-year-old boy at a natural history museum who's shirt said "Cannibal Cannibal" and recently I had a student with an "I (heart) heroin" sweatshirt.
This phenomenon is not restricted to shirts. Just Saturday, an ATM asked if I wanted more INFOMATION.
My advice.... do not get a tattoo in any foreign language.
rofl.
One of my favs from a shop in Shg : "He Bang Realty"
though its not a sad feeling i get from it...its more an acceptance, an at ease feeling...like the ending of vanilla sky...
all the best
Great piece!
