Life is filled with contracts and it is my position that they are rarely for the protection of the signee.

Currently, I tread some murky waters in my life and fear that I will soon enter into yet another legally binding document. This comic has everything to do with my life. Our decisions have consequences beyond that which we can forsee.

Also, if anyone ever asked you how much your life was worth, what are the odds that you'd answer seven dollars an hour?

grrr...

out of all of your comics which I've identified with so far - none have spoke to me as deeply as this. I am in the same position you were in at the time you drew this. lol, thank you for letting me smile about it n_n

by the way, you're extremly gifted - I've been through nearly your whole gallery - I just can't stop reading. don't give it up, you'll make it someday :)

seven dollars an hour wold be the result of you working minimum wage, as a minor contributor to the household. (I grew up with a forensic economist--look it up)
great comic. :)

7 dollars an hour would result in after a 5 hour to 8 hour shift you can buy a full tank of gas, for your 7 gallon car.

Oh, it's so true!
I am also fav'ing this as a reminder to NEVER seek gainful employment again for as long as I shall live.

I'e also been perusing your other comics, and I love how in most cases you play all of the parts, and how most of them are just a sort of pantomime.

I can see what you are pointing out here.

Though it's weird that the character signing is also the character that's offering the contract.

Is their any significance in that?

significance...

though it evolved out of necessity, the use of myself as multiple characters (and occasionally protagonist and antagonist) has great implications. whenever i criticize a character flaw, i am both the criticizer and criticizee.

if i keep this up long enough, perhaps people will simply not attach any importance to my general appearance, and see me for what the strips portrays me to be, a stick figure.

thanks for reading
